Hi Loves! Let me just start by saying, WOW it has been awhile since I’ve been on here. I feel like I’ve let you guys down, and I’ve been disappointed in myself that I haven’t been able to keep up with the blog lately. But life happens. This isn’t my full time job (although I would LOVE that to happen eventually), and many of you know if you’ve been following along that I lost my job in June. I work in corporate retail, and I was part of a company that went through a very unfortunate bankruptcy and liquidation. It was a tough few months with the uncertainty of when I’d be able to find a new job that I loved as much as my last one, and that would make me excited to get up and go to work everyday. I can’t thank my family and friends enough though for being so supportive during that time, whether it was helping me polish my resume, being a listening ear when I needed to vent my frustrations and concerns, or playing devil’s advocate when I wanted to break my self control and GO SHOPPING! I recently started a position at a new company though, and finally feel like I’m getting back into my routine, which also means I’ll be trying my very best to get new posts up for you guys every week! While we’re on that topic, is there anything specific that you’d like to see on the blog? I’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments! And as always, happy shopping Loves! xoxo

Patchwork denim and tweed are two of the hottest new trends to hit the fall fashion scene - talk about some fun, updated details! If I could wear this pair of patchwork denim from The Limited every day, I would. This is the most comfortable and flattering pair of jeans I've ever owned, and I feel great wearing them because of it! Wear them how you would any other pair of jeans - the patches add some extra flair, but will not take away from or clash with the top that you want to pair them with. And these jeans are work appropriate for casual Friday's (looking at all of you who are upset you "can't" wear your destructed denim to work) - it's a win-win!

I decided to pair my jeans with a tweed blazer and silk tank top. Tweed is coming back in a huge way this year, found mostly in that "third piece" item, such as a blazer, vest or jacket. This jacket in particular has some interesting pleat details along the sleeves and edges of the piece, along with a tie in the back - when I first spotted it, I knew it had to be mine! As far as accessories go, I decided to stick with the same color scheme, and went with basic black strappy sandals and this absolutely adorable Michael Kors bag. This bag might actually be perfect - its medium size keeps me from putting my entire life in it and weighing myself down, it has a full zip closure, and it also has a great pocket in the front that fits your phone. No more frantically digging through your purse when you're racing to answer an important call! Happy shopping loves! xoxo

Everyone is saying that denim is huge this year, but does the denim trend really ever slow down? In my eyes, it's a staple that is always a great go-to option. The cut or style of the moment will definitely change, but denim in general is always "on."

And when denim is made into a jumpsuit, like this super soft tencel jumpsuit from Gap, can we really go wrong?! This is one of the comfiest pieces of clothing to grace the Earth this spring, and I can't get enough of it. And for all you tall girls out there like myself, this jumpsuit has adjustable straps so no worries about it being short-waisted!

Wear this jumpsuit all by itself (the crossback straps are such a cute detail) or pair with a blazer or duster cardigan. I chose a striped seersucker blazer to add some texture to the look and keep the color palette light. Mixing the prints a little further, I threw on some furry leopard heels for a fun effect. Since the blazer and heels are neutral colors, mixing these various prints and textures was more than ok! Link to the jumpsuit is below. Happy shopping loves! xoxo

If you don't own a pair of joggers, stop what you're doing and buy a pair right now. These are the comfiest pants that a girl could ask for, and they're also acceptable to wear at the office. It's kind of like wearing pajamas at work, and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them. Is there any more a girl could ask for?

I found this specific pair in the clearance section at Express about a year and a half ago, and I wear them ALL the time. One thing to watch out for when trying to find the perfect pair is pockets - these can add a lot of bulk to this look, and aren't usually very flattering because of weird placement. I'd go with a plain satin pair like mine - not too heavy, and can easily be dressed up! I've paired mine with everything from a top and blazer, to an oversize shirt (half tucked in), to a chambray denim shirt. The possibilities are endless! Happy shopping loves! xoxo

Boyfriend Jeans + Blazers

It took me two years to find the perfect boyfriend jeans. TWO YEARS. The struggle was beyond real. Either the jeans were not as baggy as I wanted, hence they weren't actually true boyfriend jeans (designers - take note please), or the waist was too tight or too loose. For a while I thought I'd never find a pair I liked. But when that glorious day came a few weeks ago, I could not have been more excited. I styled mine with an oversize white t-shirt, hot pink blazer and floral pumps. The pop of bright color and floral pattern add a feminine touch to the look, while the oversize t-shirt holds that relaxed, cool-girl feeling. To change up the look a bit, opt for a black and white striped shirt to pair under the blazer, or choose a crisp white button-front oxford, tucking in only the front. The key here is to keep the oversize look throughout; once a fitted shirt is paired with boyfriend jeans, it starts to look sloppy and uneven. Be patient; your perfect boyfriend jean is out there somewhere. But for now, I'll leave you with the wise words of my friend Katie..."Who needs a boyfriend when you have great boyfriend jeans?"
